A similar Pair of Cornish Roofing slates decorated with fishing smacks
This slates are decorated with images of fishing smacks and are painted with incised decoration for the rigging.

They are charming examples of Naive or Venacular art and dated 1865.

A Fine 1930's Louis Vuitton style Steamer Trunk ..They make great coffe tables!
This very fine trunk was manufactured in New York
by a luggage manufacturer called M.Cherry who
had a retail outlet on 5th Avenue.

It is re-enforced with oak rails and has a vellum border which is fixed with steel close nails.
It retains all its original trays inside and is in a beautiful restored condition.

The locks are all polished steel and the main lock is bell metal.

......this trunk is from the golden age of luggage making when the travelling classes journeyed in style and ones luggage and its appearance was of the utmost importance!!

A trunk of this size by Louis Vuitton would be £5,000.00 ... this is of equal quality but by a little known maker of the period.

This pair of urns date from the early 20th century and are on their original plinths of classical design.
The large hoop handles are original and give the urns great presence.

The plinths are a composite cast stone.

A set of four (4) late 18th century Neo-Classical prints.
These prints are in very good un-faded condition with strong black colours with terracotta colour mounts.

They date from circa 1790 and are typical Neo-Classical scenes dipicting Music, Harvest and Putti.
